BEONx Selected to Present Pitch at Startup Olé 2018
The Salamanca-based startup, winner of Startup Olé 2017, was one of four companies selected to present its entrepreneurial discourse together with Helppier, Chargy and Ri-Te.
BEONx, the Salamanca-based startup and winner of Startup Olé 2017, presented its pitch to King Felipe VI and the President of the Republic of Portugal, Marcelo Rebelo da Sousa at the emblematic Archbishop Fonseca School of the University of Salamanca, where some key Startup Olé events were held.
King Felipe VI listened to the company pitch and spoke for a few minutes with the founders of BEONx Rubén Sánchez and Emilio Galán about the latest technological trends and the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Spain.
The reason for King Felipe’s official visit was to preside over the solemn event to be held within the framework of the 800th anniversary of the University of Salamanca and attend the fourth edition of the international event Startup Olé 2018.
This event connects more than 10,000 participants from almost 70 countries, 150 institutions, about twenty universities and more than 80 investors with a total investment portfolio of 10,000 million euros. Startup Olé also includes a fair with more than 500 participating startups, mostly of international origin and specialized in areas like artificial intelligence, Big Data, Internet of Things and Fin Tech.
As the winner of Startup Olé in 2017, BEONx, secured 1.6 million euros in funding from K Fund, one of the most reputable venture capital firms in Spain.
